Teaching – Staff inpatient housestaff teaching service withlearners including medical students, interns and residents; usecontemporary adult learning methods to promote evidence-basedpractice; demonstrate effective teaching skills and continuallydevelop as a teacher for learners at all levels; complete requiredevaluations of learners in a timely manner; participate in otherlearning activities such as Foundations of Clinical Medicine,morning report, noon conference, and other formal educationalprograms for undergraduate and post-graduate learners2. Research – Participate in clinical and administrative research,according to skills, interest, and funding; research opportunitiesmay include performance improvement initiatives or formalextramurally funded investigations; participation may be asprinciple investigator or co-investigator3. Service – Work with institutional staff and administration toattain the strategic objectives of VCU Medical Center, includingpatient safety, patient and other customer satisfaction,maintenance and enhancement of public perception, and fiscalhealth.4.
