Making a million from FTSE 100 shares may seem unlikely compared to the opportunities offered by Bitcoin. The virtual currency has almost doubled from its lowest point in March this year, while the FTSE 100 has gained around 25% over a similar time period. However, with a value investing strategy that focuses on the cheapest shares having a solid track record of success, purchasing FTSE 100 stocks in an ISA while they are undervalued could be a shrewd move. It may offer less risk, higher rewards and a greater prospect of making a million than buying Bitcoin.5G is here – and shares of this ‘sleeping giant’ could be a great way for you to potentially profit!According to one leading industry firm, the 5G boom could create a global industry worth US$12.3 TRILLION out of thin air…And if you click here we’ll show you something that could be key to unlocking 5G’s full potential…FTSE 100 value opportunitiesThe FTSE 100 currently contains a wide range of cheap shares. In some cases, they are trading significantly below their long-term averages, which suggests that they offer wide margins of safety. Therefore, investors may be able to buy high-quality businesses while they offer good value for money. Historically, this has been a sound strategy that has enabled investors to put the index’s cyclicality to good use. In other words, they have bought stocks at low prices to sell them at higher prices further down the line.Since it is possible to access a range of resources to determine the absolute and relative appeal of a FTSE 100 company’s current price level, investors can pick the most attractive opportunities within the index to build a diverse portfolio of bargain shares.Bitcoin’s limitationsAlthough Bitcoin has outperformed the FTSE 100 over the last few months, assessing its value is a much more challenging prospect than is the case for large-cap shares. The virtual currency has no fundamentals, so investors cannot determine its value. Its price is based solely on investor sentiment, which can be erratic and difficult to second-guess. Therefore, this means that there is a risk of purchasing the cryptocurrency while it is not attractively priced. With it facing risks such as a limited size, competition from other virtual currencies and potential regulatory changes, Bitcoin may also fail to produce sustained growth over the long term. This could make buying a basket of shares ahead of a likely recovery more appealing.FTSE 100 growth opportunitiesThe FTSE 100 may yet experience further declines in its price level that causes many of its shares to trade on even lower valuations. Despite this, its track record of recovery suggests that it is a sound proposition when it comes to seeking to generate a £1m portfolio.Through buying high-quality companies in an ISA now while they offer wide margins of safety, you could experience high returns over the coming years. The index may lack the capacity to double in a short space of time as per Bitcoin’s recent performance, but its risk/reward ratio and track record suggest that it is a more reliable means of obtaining a seven-figure portfolio. Dell Technologies recently announced the Dell Technologies IoT Solution | Surveillance at VMworld in Las Vegas. The solution will also be highlighted at VMworld Europe in Barcelona and discussed in a breakout session by Frank McCarthy, Dell EMC CTO for Surveillance Solutions. The IoT Solution | Surveillance is the first Dell Technologies branded IoT solution to hit the market. The solution set is built with a hyper-converged, high performance, ingest storage tier and a dense secondary storage tier, designed to meet multi-petabyte storage requirements. The hyper-converged ingest storage tier is engineered to handle the most demanding enterprise video ingest performance requirements needed for surveillance applications. This hyper-converged system allows customers to reduce the amount of compute and storage hardware for large scale deployments and seamlessly scales out as the system requirements increase. This addresses the need for a surveillance infrastructure to accommodate the increasingly higher resolution cameras that customers are deploying while maximizing performance and keep the hardware footprint to a minimum. The second tier of high-density storage can provide even greater scale and can be deployed as private and/or hybrid cloud storage. Both storage tiers are software defined, utilizing Dell EMC appliances that have been designed and sized specifically for the surveillance workload. The IoT Solution | Surveillance is an engineered solution that was tested, designed and validated in the Dell EMC Surveillance Labs in collaboration with Dell Technologies companies and business units. This innovative solution is an example of the collaborative spirit that exists within Dell Technologies to combine best of breed products into a solution that addresses the challenges our customer face in the surveillance industry.Future versions of the IoT Solution | Surveillance will allow for analytic application support, heterogenous surveillance camera management capabilities and end to end system orchestration of the entire system. To learn more about the IoT Solution for Surveillance check out the following link :https://www.delltechnologies.com/iot-surveillance-solutionAlso, plan to attend the breakout session with Frank McCarthy on Thursday 11/8 at VMworld Barcelona.Frank McCarthy s the Global CTO of Surveillance Solutions at Dell EMC. For the past 12 years he has been responsible for all facets of solution development and rationalization of Dell EMC’s products for the surveillance industry. The Surveillance team published Dell EMC’s first surveillance reference architecture in 2006 and they have helped propel Dell EMC to an industry leading infrastructure provider in surveillance. Frank and his team designed, engineered, and performed the validation testing for the Dell Technologies IoT Solution | Surveillance.
