BYU Men’s Basketball Faces Nevada In Season Opener This Evening

Every season at Provo, Rose has led the Cougars to 20-plus wins and a postseason appearance (NCAA or NIT) in each of his 13 seasons.Rose’s record at BYU is 329-122 (.729) while his winning percentage is first in school history and his 329 wins are the second most in program history.As the Cougars battle a Nevada squad featuring The Associated Press preseason All-American first team member, forward Caleb Martin, it serves them well that they return lots of experience.Currently, the BYU roster consists of 10 players with collegiate experience for the Cougars and six players who have started for Rose.Caleb Martin is joined by fellow Mountain West Conference preseason first-team members in forward Cody Martin and guard/forward Jordan Caroline, each of whom have the potential to play in the NBA.This talented Wolf Pack squad is currently ranked #7 in The Associated Press poll and #9 in the coaches’ poll and is coached by NBA coaching veteran Eric Musselman.Nevada is currently a 13-point favorite while the Cougars lead the all-time series 13-6.
